Indonesian Opalized Wood Ring
What is opalized wood? Think petrified wood, but the environmental conditions were such that opal formed instead of silicate. This stone is from Indonesia and has shades of ivory and light green, bringing to mind a calm ocean on a sunny day. Set atop a graceful but strong band design that wraps around the finger and highlights the rectangular stone.
The stone setting is just over 3/4” x 1/2” long. This ring is a size 8.
Fabricated by hand in solid sterling silver, with the stone wrapped in a fine silver bezel.
